A Special Post near and dear to my Heart. . .
Today is the second most memorable day for the people of Cuba. The commander, ruler, dictator and "Jefe" of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, passed away last night at the age of 90. The first most memorable day was on December 31st, 1959 when Fidel took power over the island. Whether you loved him or hated him, one things remains, he was the most influential man Cuba has ever seen. With the good, and also the bad, he completely shaped what you know as Cuba, for 60 long years. Who knows how long it will take before we start to see any real changes on the island, it may be decades still, but the photographer in me hopes Cuba keeps it's beautiful identity. For any of you that know me well, you know how much I resonate with this country, how much I love the culture, the people, the pride they have, the simplicity of life, and most of all the beautiful, soulful, Authenticity that has seemed to remain everywhere you look over the years. I'm posting this gallery today, for all of you, in hopes that you'll come and take a short trip with me to visit Fidel's Castro's Cuba, one last time. . .
